Mormonism is very affluent. One of the reasons is that it is pro education and pro business. It has virtually no expenditures for staff costs, except for top ranks and admin. Hence most of its wealth remains in tangible assets, such as temples, meetinghouses, universities and business. Expenses for charity are comparatively low (under 1%). Mormonism spends considerable resources in time and money on proselyting and sustaining and defending its faith.
In all its diversity Christianity has far more to offer than Mormonism. The Mormon dream of manifesting a divine improvement on Christianity remains a delusion and hence a careful dismantling process is under way. Mormons often feel that loosing faith in Mormonism means loosing faith in Christ. Quite often they can not see a better alternative. Hence it is imperative to show that Christ manifests himself far more outside of the LDS church than inside. Most people know of Mother Teresa, but she was a nun and hence a bit out of this world. What they don't know is that we now have thousands of radical lovers of Christ and the make millions of converts in the most challenging places. May I introduce Heidi Baker - please click here.
